Relocating

February 5th 2020

Recently, John Ray shared that as a church body, we are in a process of Relocating, Reforming, and Refocusing.  This week, we'd like to collaborate with everyone and discuss our upcoming relocation.

We are currently paying about $7000 a month on our mortgage payment and about $2000 a month on utilities, so we need to find something smaller and less expensive. We have listed the building for sale, and there should be a sign out front soon--it is our hope that it will sell quickly so we can move forward to the place we can be most effective with our giftings and callings for the kingdom in our area.  Since there are few comparable properties in this area, our real estate agent cannot predict how quickly it will sell.

In the meantime, if you're doing some daydreaming and seeking God's guidance, where do you picture us meeting?  Where are the people you feel called to serve?  Do you envision the perfect church meeting spot to be contemporary, sacred, classic, multi-purpose, west-side, east-side, country, downtown, or other things?   Would you have preference between renting and owning?

As we used 2828, it was our desire that it could be used constantly by our community, and that was certainly true. We've been in close communication with all the groups and ministries using 2828, and will keep them abreast of our impending sale and move so they can make other plans.

Please go to www.sli.do and type in #5576 for the event.
Ask a question or add your comments! (for the lo-tech fans, we'll have a board on display on Sunday with Post-It notes to capture your ideas, too!)

This Sunday, Feb. 9, immediately following worship, wear your scruffy clothes and plan to stay for a hands-on service project in getting 2828 ready to sell.  The Leonard-Annable Grace Group had kindly offered to head up this project, but we have lots to do, and it can be a great way for us to get to know each other better as we serve, so please join us!  We'll order pizzas and have a giant salad and drinks ready to go.  Volunteers will hang out with any kids-and in fact, we plan for the older ones to get in on the fun sorting out toys and doing some light cleaning in the children's rooms!  To help give us a head count for pizza ordering, please RSVP to staci@gracechurchnwa.org
